Four years ago a co-worker referred me to a chiropractor in Houston. I had been suffering for four years from various symptoms from a car accident where I was rear-ended.

A whiplash injury resulted in an increased incidence of migraine headaches, visual disturbances, heart palpitations, Fibromyalgia, fatigue, loss of concentration, and a general feeling of malaise.

I sought treatment from my personal physician, two neurologists, a cardiologist, and a psychiatrist, amongst others. I was put on several migraine medications and anti-depressants with minimal success. It became a challenge to crawl out of bed and get the day started. My ailments resulted in decreased effectiveness at work and strained relationships at home. Life, indeed, had become very difficult.

During my first visit with Dr. Zembroski, he explained my symptoms were caused by a subluxation of the brain stem vertebrae. At first I was skeptical about the adjustment; afterall, some of the most noted M.D.’s in Fairfield county had no idea what was causing my illnesses.

I was in the midst of a migraine when Ihad my first adjustment. Ten minutes later, my headache disappeared for good. I haven’t had another headache since that treatment — I had suffered from at least one headache a month for some 33 years!

Continued care and corrected subluxations resulted in some immediate relief of symptoms and significant relief in 30 days. My concentration is better, I have increased energy, no heart palpitations, and less pain from Fibromyalgia. Life is good.

There was also an unexpected side benefit to the treatments. I have been a diabetic for 25 years. Six months into the treatments my blood sugars mysteriously dropped. AlthoughIhaven’t been able to entirely eliminate the need for medication, I have been able to significantly reduce my insulin intake. I believe this was a direct result of Specific Chiropractic care.

Based on my experiences, I have and will continue to always highly recommend Dr. Vanderloop, a Houston Chiropractor.

I started out as a skeptic concerning chiropractic care. I went on the advice of a friend of mine who was already a patient here at Family Chiropractic, figuring that nothing else has worked up until this point, I might as well try. I am so glad that I did!!

I have spent literally half of my life experiencing pain and discomfort on a daily basis. Not to mention reduced range of motion in all of my joints, dyspepsia, allergies…the list goes on. I spent a great deal of my adolescence being poked, prodded and scanned, and since the doctors could not find a source, I was told that my pain was growing pains that were all in my head. “Take these muscle relaxers”, they said. “Take these pills”, they ordered. Well, I did for a while and not only got minimal relief, I had to deal with some pretty nasty side effects from the drugs. I finally stopped taking them, figuring that I was doomed to a life of pain and never truly feeling at 100%.

Then, I put my trust in the great Dr. Van, Fran and Laura. After seeing what my body had been through and understanding that healing was possible, I jumped on board. Since my first adjustment in January, I started feeling so much better. A complete 180 from where I started. I’ve recorded a great deal of my range of motion, my allergies hardly ever bother me, I can eat most things I really enjoy without the fear of heartburn, and I have so much more energy than I did at this time last year! I haven’t had to take any type of pain relief medication in a very long time, which not only saves money, but most importantly, saves my health!

My only regret is not coming to see Dr. Van sooner! His commitment to his patients’’ health far exceeds any of the other doctors that I’ve visited with before. Seeing that he is truly interested in each individual’s health and welfare, both medically and personally, makes me truly feel like a member of his family! This is the some of the best medical care that I have received and I plan on continuing for as long as I possibly can! Thank you Dr. Van.

In April I had been visiting several doctors including specialist’s regarding ear pain. Despite being given various treatments, the ear pain continued. It was after this that I met Dr. Van and had suggested chiropractic treatment. I agreed to try it but must admit I had a lot of skepticism.

I am delighted to say that the ear pain diminished rapidly after only two treatments. In addition to this, Dr. Vanderloop gave me a wellness examination and started me on a course of back and neck corrections. This treatment along with the dietary supplements that he provided has made a big difference in my general health. I now have more energy and a better sleep pattern than I have had for many years.

My only regret is not having used chiropractic care before and as with medical practitioners I feel it is important to find a good chiropractor and I am blessed to have found Dr. Vanderloop who I consider to be of the highest standard. Many thanks!

I started going to Dr. Van’s office after suffering a back injury in March of 2006. After an examination, dr. Van took some x-rays which showed the problems that were causing me to experience pain in my back. He assured me that he could help with the injury I had, but he was also honest and said it would take some time to heal.

The pain that I now experience is minimal after several months of treatments, before I had a difficult time doing anything with the pain in my back. Dr. Van has also helped me learn more about many nutrition and exercise can help with recovering from my injusry.

I feel Dr. Van has gone above and beyond in helping me get back o a full recovery. I really recommend anyone who is dealing with pain to see Dr. Van. Thank you!

I had a stroke in late September of 1993. I was paralyzed in my right leg and arm. I had trouble eating and drinking, and I had a real problem learning to talk again. My speech is still slurred to some extent. I also developed high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes. My major problem was I couldn’t walk without holding on to something.

With all of these ailments I spent a lot of time on medical blvd. I asked my daughter to let me stop at a small family chiropractic clinic on the corner of El Camino Real and Medical Center, to see if the doctor could help me.

The “Doc” was very nice and after some x-rays and a thorough examination; he said he could help me. He told me that I would have to work as hard as he did and not give up. Well, that was about a year ago. There have been ups and downs and we have worked hard. The miracle is, I can walk. I expect to keep working and keep getting better.

I tried to thank the doctor but, he refused to accept the credit. He said “God works miracles though my hands.” My health is generally better and, who knows what miracles God had allowed. I am 77 years old, and that within itself is a miracle. Dr. Van I pray that though all battles of this life, God will forever be guiding you. God bless you and your efforts to assist God’s people.
